Thank you all for your sweet comments on the blog, instagram and facebook. I will definitely make a tutorial for you! I will get to that over the next couple of weeks.
I received an email this morning with a photo of the quilt’s owner, and he is a doll! While he was a pretty big baby, he looks dwarfed on the quilt. Good thing I know how quickly they grow. I do hope it gets dragged around and maybe even becomes a favourite (every crafter’s dream).
I think it is something to do with this time of year and the start of school that makes me feel a bit….panicked? Apprehensive? Anticipatory? I’m not sure. It has been many years since I was in school of course but I think it still gets me a bit jangled. (Side note – this could also be the fear of fall. Don’t get me wrong, I love fall, but I grew up in Canada and the thing that follows fall is a never ending abyss of dismal awful. I can’t seem to shake that even after 5 years of lovely VA winters).
So over the last few weeks I have been trying to channel some of than energy into getting some WIP’s done.
My weaving from a course that I took this summer on tartans need to be finished up. I am hoping to get to that this week sometime.
I finished a ton of mending that had been sitting around forever.
I finished up some tags for my Artisan Pieces that my friend Hunter had silk screened for me (they needed holes and chain).
I salvaged some seatbelts 🙂
I painted my front door, not once, not twice, but three times to get the colour right. I finally got it!
I am all finished with the blocks of my Orion quilt, I just need to do the arrow blocks that go in between and get this thing quilted!
Does anyone else get this way in the fall? Like you need to rush to DO ALL THE THINGS before….school?
