Dudes, where the heck did October go? I have had one of the craziest and most fun months ever! I was home for almost 2 weeks visiting the fam-damily, then I was back in Roanoke for a couple of days, then it was off to Germany! with the hubster. I cannot wait to tell you about our trip. It was so much fun! But it is going to have to wait, because for the last week I have been literally chained to my sewing machine. As in, 10+ hours a day. Because dudes…….today is my very first show!
I cannot tell you how excited I am. For a couple of years I have been going (as a customer) to the Artisan Fair held at the Unitarian Church in Roanoke. It is a juried show, so they have some really great local artisans in it. I was encouraged this year to apply for it, but I really thought it was a long shot. But I got accepted! Whoo hoo! So at 5pm today I will be standing in my very first booth. (I was so nervous about the whole thing that I actually made a mock booth in the garage. Tape on the floor marking it out and a strip of paper as a stand in table. Hopefully it will look better at the show!).
If you are local, I would love for you to come by and check it out. I am releasing a ton of new stuff at this show (don’t worry, if you aren’t local to Roanoke I will be putting all the new things in the etsy shop soon). The hours are today from 5-8p, and tomorrow from 10a-4p – the church is on the corner of Grandin and Brandon Rds, you can’t miss it. Right across from Patrick Henry High School. I really hope people come, because I am going to feel uber silly standing in a booth by my lonesome. See you tonight? Wish me luck!
