    Michael Miller Challenge Quilt

    As part of the MQG, we have quarterly challenges whereby companies donate fabric which we are to use to create some sort of project with. This time, the fabric was from Michael Miller, one of my favourites (their fabric has a great base). I had an idea that I wanted to make a bunting quilt, but I didn’t want to do turned or fused applique. So I came up with another idea! I basically made little triangle pillow forms, but didn’t stuff them (does that make sense?). I cut each bunting triangle out along with 10 white triangles.     Quilt for my Favourite Customer

    A couple of weeks ago I had a customer order a baby quilt from me. But not just any customer, my very favourite customer. Before you think, “wait, isn’t that me?” let me s’plain. No, there is no time, let me sum up: None other than TJ’s wonderful 91 year old Grandma (I kid you not. She is 91. Ok in this picture she is 90, but jeez.     Riley Blake Challenge Quilt

    Thanks everyone for your great response to my Wee Animal Quilt tutorial. I am glad that you like it and I hope to see some of your finished quilts! A few months back the folks at Riley Blake Designs gave away a whole bunch of fabric to members of the Modern Quilt Guild. We each received a fat eighth of 6 different fabrics, and were told to use them as we liked. So long as we only used Riley Blake fabrics or solids with them.
