Photos of our new house in Chicago, with the previous owners stuff in it 🙂
That garage is coming off the house as soon as the ground in thawed in the spring. We are going to extend the driveway into the backyard and put a 2.5 car garage in the back (we have checked with the village zoning department and they are ok with this). Because the garage in it’s current state is awful.
Back of the house.
Massive old oak tree. It is the largest tree in the neighbourhood. We are actually going to have to rake!
Living room at the front of the house. You can see the front door to the right of the fireplace.
Living room from the other side.
Dining room, which is what you see ahead when you walk in the front door.
Dining room towards the kitchen. You can see the stairs to the basement. Right beside those stairs is the powder room. And the open door in the kitchen is to the sunroom.
Sunroom. That furniture is staying. We are going to use this so much!
Master bedroom. It is up the stairs and to the back of the house, over the kitchen/dining room.
Second bedroom at the front of the house. This is getting painted before our stuff arrives. It is even brighter in person!
Third bedroom at the front of the house.
Upstairs bathroom. There is a linen closet behind the door. Thank goodness!
Basement, which will become my studio. There is also another space to the left, and one behind (TJ’s workshop and the laundry room)
