    Late to the Party

    I need you all to flash back about 5 (or 6) years and pretend that I am presenting you with my finished Clapotis during the height of Clapo-mania. Just ignore that there are literally thousands of these around and pretend like I am an early adopter of such a cool pattern. When you see how I have come up with this incredible way to wrap it around my neck like a scarf, instead of a shawl, be amazed.     A Group Goodbye

    A few weeks ago our friend Jenn moved from her wee farm in Rocky Mount up to the Pittsburgh area. It is a fantastic opportunity for her family, but we are all going to miss her terribly. So, we wanted to do something as a group to warm her new home and let her know that we are thinking of her. And what better way to warm then a quilt?     Like a Big Hug

    While my parents were here visiting for a few weeks this summer, my Mom was plugging away on a lovely shawl. And lo and behold, it was for me! It’s a big rectangle, with some seaming up the sides to create sleeves. It allows you to fold over the collar any which way and change the look quite a bit (as a side note, every single time I try to type “quite” I do “quilt” first. Ha.)
