This is a cotton blanket that missbedora and I made out of Knitpicks "Shine" for our friend Alison. It has a backing of cotton fabric to keep and the ends tucked in and make it look neat. We are hoping this turns into "blankie"! September 2006
A pair of Trekking socks for myself. I showed the heel here because this was the very first pair I ever made with a short row heel that did not have a hole. The trick? Pick up one extra stitch when you are knitting the first full round after the heel, and then k2tog on the next round at that point. September 2006
This is a mini tuxedo and wedding dress that I knit for my friends (and then another set for my cousin) that I turned into magnets for their fridge. I am planning on writting up the pattern for this some day soon. June 2006
This is a needle roll that I made for my Mom for mother's day. For Christmas last year I got us both crochet lessons, as that is something my mom has wanted to learn how to do for a while. So, I thought she needed a place to hold all of her needles! May 2006
Here are the first ever pair of socks that I made for TJ. They are out of Trekking XXL, and they were the first pair of toe up socks I had ever made. I will definitely be making all my socks this way in the future (short row toe with provisional cast on, short row wrap heel). March 2006.
This is a shot of the front piece of another Iris that I made for my sister. You can see what the original looked like here. This one was my sister's Christmas gift, and was made out of a nice pale purple Rowan Calmer.
This is another drop stitch cardigan from the Fall 2005 Interweave, again made out of Malabrigo. This one was a gift for my Mom's birthday. More pictures here.
This is the drop stitch cardigan from the Fall 2005 Interweave. I used Malabrigo in Sealing Wax for this one, and it was a gift for missbedora's birthday. You can see the packaging that I used for this gift here.
This is my long awaited Princess De sweater that I have been working on for literally years. It is my own design, and I will be making the pattern available soon. You can see more pictures of it here.
This is an i-Pod cozy that I made with a little help from TJ (his first, and only, knitting). I used some leftover sock yarn and the magic loop method to finish this off in January 2006 .
